Is there consensus on what is the best way to WDT besides using thin needles? I stir in a spirograph pattern, and I find that I still have to give the portafilter a few side taps to make sure the bed is level. I think where ever the tool is lifted is where you'll see the most density of coffee since that's where the coffee has been pushed to last. This is purely based on visuals but I noticed that without the side taps, the portafilter fills in on one side first. With sidetaps, it fills in more evenly across the portafilter though it does tend to fill in from outside to inside.
